Our History
Impact Advisors was founded in 2007 by Andrew and Peter Smith and a handful of experienced colleagues who had worked together previously as consultants and in executive roles at some of the nation’s foremost health delivery organizations. The group envisioned a firm of the best talent, obsessed with providing the highest quality services to positively impact the most important of industries – healthcare.
Andrew’s 30-year career has been dedicated to the healthcare industry, developing and implementing information systems, services, and strategic plans, all aimed at improving the business of healthcare. His extensive experience working with academic hospitals, integrated delivery networks (IDNs), community hospitals and physician group practices enables him to serve as a strategic advisor to many of the industry’s leading healthcare executives. Andrew holds a B.S.A. from Miami University.
Peter has more than 35 years of experience in healthcare and is an industry thought leader. He has worked with many of the country’s leading healthcare organizations and has engaged senior executives to better understand and appreciate the strategic implications of advanced healthcare technology, as well as plan for its deployment. He serves as a trusted advisor to several Chief Information Officers (CIOs), providing thought leadership on challenging organizational development, change management and strategic technology issues. Peter holds a B.S. in Systems Analysis from Miami University.
John is a highly accomplished, results-oriented, senior executive and consultant with experience in healthcare provider business transformation, operations improvement, revenue cycle, and new service line development. He is a proven leader with experience in multiple start-ups/private equity/IPOs. John has an outstanding track record of new business development for complex consulting and large business process outsourcing (BPO) contracts.
Sandeep has more than 25 years of global consulting experience working with leading providers, payers, and government agencies. In addition to his extensive knowledge in delivering digital transformation and technology services, he has a history of success building large practices and teams generating strong client results. He is leading efforts to accelerate growth and enhance our position as a leading healthcare consultancy. Sandeep earned an MBA from The London School of Economics & Political Science and a B.E. degree from University of Delhi.
Todd is a seasoned Information Technology executive with 30 years of experience analyzing, recommending, selling, buying, and delivering technology solutions and operational improvements to enhance core business and clinical processes. Prior to joining Impact Advisors, Todd served as the Chief Technology Officer at University of Chicago Medicine (UCM), and before that as Advanced Technologies Practice Director at a large consulting firm. He also has several years of experience at a “Big Five” consulting organization. Todd holds a B.S., in Business Management and a M.S. in Information and Communication Sciences from Ball State University. He gives back to his alma mater by serving on the Advisory Board in his field of study. He is also a board member for the Sheilah A. Doyle Foundation.
Meghan is a certified public accountant with expertise in operational finance, financial reporting and healthcare consulting. Meghan began her career in audit at a Big 4 Accounting firm and then transitioned into finance and consulting leadership roles for top healthcare consulting firms. She specializes in utilizing data to identify areas of opportunity and implementing improvement strategies to achieve targeted financial statement impact. She is an effective leader who played an integral role in the development and growth of Impact Advisor’s Strategy and Operations practice. Meghan holds a Master of Accountancy from the University of Illinois.
Maggie has dedicated her 30+ year career to the healthcare industry, serving in progressively complex and rewarding Human Resources leadership roles at consulting firms (including a previous tenure at Impact Advisors) and across both payor and provider settings. Most recently, she served as Vice President of Human Resources at City of Hope Atlanta and as Market Chief HR Executive for Ascension Health (AMITA). Maggie excels in partnering with other senior leaders to design solutions for Organizational Design, Performance Management, Talent, Team Building, and Incentive Programs. She holds an MBA from DePaul University and a BA from Illinois Wesleyan University.
